Motorbike Journey Along The Beach
There are many places to see and things to do in and around the town of Mui Ne. These days, it is one of the most popular spots in all of Phuket. The waters of the Andaman Sea are full of fish, and scuba divers enjoy exploring coral tunnels and wrecks. Mui Ne is also a great place to go shopping. In fact, most of the shops here are open year round.
There are several organized tours from Mui Ne to Phuket but taking a motorbike trip along the coast, especially from Mui Ne town, is highly recommended. The ride takes about an hour and a half, and after that you can explore the town. Along the way, there is a small ferryboat from the eastern side of the main island, and a bit of walking before reaching the end of the track. If you are traveling with children, a group of them could ride together on the same boat trip.
One of the best parts of this journey is the scenery. The journey passes through lush green fields, pine forests, palm trees, an occasional sand dune, and finally arrives at the quiet beach. Over three hundred unique cultures are represented in Mui Ne, making it a wonderful cultural experience for anyone willing to venture out onto the coast. The journey is very easy to budget, as it only takes about two hours, with plenty of opportunities to eat lunch on the boat or by the shore.
After lunch, you will have the opportunity to check out some sea shells along the beach and, if you are lucky, catch a few surfs. While you are on the beach, make sure that you take a walk to the top of the cliffs. They provide a spectacular view but are only reached by taking a steep climb up a ladder that extends over the edge of the cliff. The views from the top are quite amazing, with clear blue sky above and towering palm trees on either side. At one time, the local fishermen used the cliffs to hang nets into the sea, but now the tide has changed and the fishermen must scale back their nets.
The journey ends at the seaside, where you can see the two fishing villages on the coast. It is a unique experience, as the only two fishing villages on the entire coast are located so close together. It is a great feeling to stop to eat lunch along the way, especially if you are travelling in groups. After stopping to enjoy the scenery, you can continue your journey along the coast to another part of the island.
This is one of the most popular ways to get to the beach in Thailand. If you are looking for an enjoyable and picturesque place to spend your holiday, this part of Phuket is the perfect choice. You will not have to worry about finding accommodation, as there is plenty of hotel accommodation available along the beach. The whole family will enjoy themselves as they travel along the coastal road from Khao Phra Thaeo Nork to Khao Sok.
