Think Big by Dr. h.c. Harald Seiz – How to Make a Career From an Idea

The man behind “Think BIG”
If you are interested in the idea of developing your entrepreneurial skills, there is a good chance that you will be familiar with Dr h. c. Harald Seiz. He is one of the most famous entrepreneurs in the world. He is also a successful author. Dr. Seiz is not someone who was born into money. He was raised in a modest home in Germany, by a mother and grandmother who both struggled with alcohol problems.
From that time onwards, Dr. Seiz has used his self-confidence and dedication to continue along a path that has often been paved with hazards as well as riches. As he says in “Think BIG”,
“I also went through phases in which I strongly doubted myself and my abilities…But what alternative was there to simply carrying on? Somehow it had to go on.”
Despite the feelings of doubt that he has encountered from time to time, Dr. Seiz has continued to believe in his ideas and they have brought him to where he is today; the founder and CEO of companies that have an overall turnover of 100 million euros.
Learning a lesson from “Think BIG”
There is an inspirational lesson to le learned from “Think BIG”. Dr. Seiz encourages people with an entrepreneurial spirit to not be afraid to embrace risk. He says,
“You have developed an idea, that you are certain will bring the necessary improvements. Then don’t let anything get in your way. In fact – not pursuing your plans, falling into passivity, is often more dangerous than taking the next step, even if it seems risky at first.”
You cannot hope to make a career from an idea if you do not do as Dr. Seiz has done throughout his professional life, and trust in your talent while treating every potential risk as a learning opportunity. Not every step you take will be a successful one, but each one will be useful, as long as you do not treat hurdles and pitfalls as insurmountable and instead look upon them as an opportunity to adapt and change in order to follow a successful path.
