2010 could be a record breaking year in Ohio…for lethal injections
From today’s Columbus Dispatch, Ohio could set state record for lethal injections. Part of the news piece:
The state executed condemned killer Mark Brown on Thursday, the third execution in as many months and one of nine scheduled for this year.
In addition, prosecutors have already asked the Ohio Supreme Court, which schedules executions, to set dates for five additional death row inmates.
Ohio put seven people to death in 2004, a record for the state and second in the nation behind Texas, and executed four last year.
We’re also the first state to use the one drug method of the death penalty…
shame Ohio can’t be the first state to televise these events as well.
got a long way to go to compete with Texas, but it’s worth a try!
GO OHIO!!!

Well, at least we lead the nation in something …
February 5th, 2010 at 9:23 pmLisa, trust me, you wouldn’t even have to legalize drugs to balance the budget should they add this to the PPV rotation.

February 6th, 2010 at 3:06 pmI am glad to see these people executed. I just wish they would speed the process up a bit. It shouldn’t take 15 years on average and cost us so much money.
