WTVG has the story, Bar owner to hire off-duty officers after shoot-out. More is expected tomorrow after the Mayor meets with the Chief of Police, so this is one of those “stories to watch” categories.

Route 66 should open in January 2010 if they comply with the requirements of the Safety Director and make the necessary provisions to protect the surrounding neighborhood and patrons of their establishment.
Until then, it should remain closed.
The drug deals will just be done in another bar. Now we’re playing the game of pushing the crime around in response to citizen complaints.
