Something Nice: Tune into Andrew Z tomorrow morning – Updated!

15 Nov 2009

I’m not going to ruin what’s happening, but if you tune into the Andrew Z in the morning show, on KissFM which can be also listened to online, www.925kissfm.com tomorrow morning, especially around 9:00 a.m. — It’s something positive and definitely meets the “Something nice” category.

More tomorrow…Updated release from last night:

Lupe Ramos lost her brother and 13 year old son in a car accident on 1-75 September 30th. Then, less than a month later a fire broke out in a vacant home next door to the Ramos’ on the 1100 block of east Central. It spread to Ramos’ house and now they are homeless! But hopefully, not for long!

Andrew Z in the morning along with some incredible volunteers has spearheaded the “Love for Lupe” project. Already this project has received incredible support and donations from the citizens and community leaders of Northwest Ohio, including food, clothing and apartment and cash donations. But tomorrow something BIG is going to happen. We will be launching “Extreme Makeover: Andrew Z in the morning edition.” On Monday we are going to inform Lupe, Live on the air and during the press conference that the community of Toledo is going to rebuild her home!

The press conference will be attended by many involved in the project. It will also be attended by Mayor Carty Finkbeiner and Mayor Elect Mike Bell. Jackie Frisch, recipient of ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition, will also be there and break the news to the family.

The city of Toledo has received many black eyes in the national media but this is sure to be a shining star on the Glass City!

When: Monday Morning 9a.m.

Where: Kiss FM studios 125 S. Superior, Toledo

Who: Mayor Carty Finkbeiner, Mike Bell, Jackie Frisch, Andrew Z in the morning crew, And dozens of volunteers

Yea for Toledoans! These are the things people need to think about when they are exiting the city saying it is worthless. There are a lot of these wonderful things happening in Toledo, but people are so focused on the negative that these get overshadowed. Kudos to the Frisch family as well for paying it forward.
