Quarterly meeting of the Democratic State Central Committee Issues 1 & 2 endorsed
Ohio Democratic Party State Central Committeeman District 2 Michael Friedman was in attendance at today’s quarterly meeting of the Ohio Democratic Party State Central Committee. After the meeting concluded, I spoke with him via phone. Friedman reported that he was the committee person who made the motion to endorse Issue 1 that was passed by a unanimous voice vote.
On Issue 2 -a roll call vote was held, the majority voted to endorse, Friedman believed the formal vote count was 11 of the 66 voted against it. Rothenbuhler voted yes, the majority NWO representatives including Michael Friedman voted no.
Issue 3 – No action was taken on Issue 3.
Friedman also reported that he’s trying to lobby for Toledo for the Democratic Party State Convention to be held here. No decision has been made yet on the State Convention, which is typically held in the summer. Last year it was held in Columbus.
Thank you, Mike, for voting against having the party endorse Issue 2.

October 18th, 2009 at 12:48 amI hear about this Issue 2 and another unaccountble board, it just seems like a bad idea. PUCO, anyone? While driving through Ottawa County today I saw many “Yes on 2″ signs. I don’t understand it. From what I hear this is bad for farmers and the general public. I can see food prices soaring.
PAM, I KNOW WHEN WE WERE RETURNING FROM COLUMBUS, DELAWARE AND MARION COUNTIES WERE LOADED WITH THEM
October 18th, 2009 at 1:20 amThank you Mr. Friedman. I don’t think this state needs more government and yes, I think it would cripple small farms!
