Famous Dave’s Pulled Pork Eating Contest Slated for Smoke on the Water Ribs for the Red Cross

Always hungry?
Asking for thirds while others struggle to finish their entre?
Ever been referred to as a bottomless pit?

The Famous Dave’s Pulled Pork Eating Contest is a gastronomic battle of stomach-to-stomach proportions. This popular event will take place at the Columbia Gas of Ohio Smoke on the Water Ribs for the Red Cross event on Saturday, July 31, at 6:30 p.m.

The Famous Dave’s Pulled Pork Eating Contest pits ten glorious gluttons in an epic battle to devour delicious pulled pork. Each competitor will have ten minutes to eat as much of a three-pound serving of Famous Dave’s pulled pork as they can muster. The winner will receive glorious amounts of praise, a prize package worth $500 and perhaps most importantly: a year’s worth of bragging rights.

Entry forms can be filled out exclusively at Famous Dave’s, 4757 Monroe Street, Toledo, Ohio. Participation is free. Competitors will be drawn from the collected applications and notified approximately five days prior to the competition.

Smoke on the Water Ribs for the Red Cross takes place at Promenade Park in downtown Toledo, from Friday, July 30 though Sunday, August 1. Admission is just $5, with kids 12 and under free. Advance tickets may be purchased at all Northwest Ohio Meijer locations for just $4.
