Governor Applauds Renewal of the Ohio Third Frontier Program
Columbus, Ohio – Ohio Governor Ted Strickland today released the following statement regarding Ohioans’ support for the renewal of the Ohio Third Frontier Program.
“Today, in voting booths across the state, Ohioans embraced the future.
“I’ve seen firsthand the effects of the Ohio Third Frontier. It’s helped create companies and careers that didn’t exist in Ohio, or anywhere, just a few years ago. Assembly line workers are finding a new era of opportunity making medical imaging equipment. Recent college graduates are staying put because they see their future right here designing the next generation of aerospace parts and wind turbines and scores of other products.
“The Ohio Third Frontier is the single most effective tool we have to create jobs and spur economic development in Ohio. Third Frontier companies are literally inventing the cure for rust, and in the process they are inventing the cure for the Rust Belt. Because that’s not who we are, and today the voters of Ohio said that loud and clear.”
Governor Strickland made renewing the Ohio Third Frontier program a centerpeice of his 2010 jobs agenda. Click here to read more about his efforts to raise awareness and promote investments made by the Ohio Third Frontier program to create Ohio jobs.

May 5th, 2010 at 12:43 amIf we only had the money to loan…..
With our credit rating, how much will it cost the taxpayers?
Just wondering over morning coffee……

May 5th, 2010 at 11:15 amCongrats Michael on your win for State CC. Over 3,000 votes, nice!
also not surprise the tea party went 0 for 2 in Ohio. O’Brien is already a loser in this state and that is tough to overcome. Check out Flannery, Fingerhut and Boyle. Plus Husted and Yost are good conservatives.
May 5th, 2010 at 11:28 amOhio needs more than union jobs. It needs jobs of all collar color, period. I see some people only see unions in this commentary. Everyone who is out of work needs a job, white collar, blue collar. It’s that kind of thinking from some people that is stifling economic growth in Ohio.
