Opinions are divided on Senate Bill 5, however I’m a fan of transparency and I think it’s very shady for a group to create a website claiming to share “the truth” about Senate Bill 5 to get people to support it that requires them to have to sign something to be able to actually be able to view any of “the truths” that may lurk within the online content.
I’m not willing to sign anything that supports SB5 just to learn the information. Nor do I think very highly of anyone who’d promote something that lacks transparency and can be easily seen as a way to garner fake numbers of supporters since the assumption is you “sign here” to something that you have yet to be given any information on.
While it’s very common to use websites to create email lists or sign ups, there is typically and option to opt out to continue on to the website.
It’s also interesting to note that the domain for the website sbtruth.com is registered to Brushfire Digital, which is located in Winter Park, Florida. So, those who claim to want to “Save our State” can’t even hire people here in Ohio to create a website for them.
