It’s that time again, where you can start the topic of conversation with fellow participants on the Jungle to see if they share your interest.
We have not really spent much time discussing quite a few topics, including efforts to de-fund public broadcasting. The Republican-led U.S. House voted 228-192 to totally de-fund NPR. NPR receives little in federal funding itself; most federal funds go to local stations. Legislation also exists to de-fund the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, President Obama budgeted $445 million for CPB in 2012.

As always, it’s your choice what to discuss as long as it is related to politics and the usual rules concerning civility are followed.
