My column for the Dec. 12 issue of the Toledo Free Press is online — Waiting for the magic casino fairy.

It’s a brief look at some of what took place at a recent Youth, Parks, Recreation and Community Relations Committee meeting and a small part of what took place at the last Toledo City Council meeting on the issue of the Toledo CityParks Non-Expendable Trust Fund.

The focus is also on a brief history of the CityPark fund and how much money has been taken by previous administrations, as well as the current administration for costs not related to recreation.
